Performing at Olafur Eliasson: Presence at GOMA

On 8 May 2026, I had the wonderful opportunity to perform at Olafur Eliasson: Presence at GOMA. I was invited by Vanessa Tomlinson to present her work when she was unavailable to perform herself.

Surrounded by Olafur Eliasson’s immersive exhibition spaces, I performed Vanessa’s piece using an array of cymbals and rocks. It was a unique and rewarding experience to explore the sonic possibilities of these materials within such an inspiring environment.

I found immense pleasure in both performing the work and engaging with the exhibition from within. The experience encouraged me to listen deeply, discover new sounds, and develop new performance techniques along the way.

I am very grateful to Vanessa for the opportunity and to everyone who attended the performance.
