Esther is an incredible individual with a passion for learning and a strong spirit. I used to teach her on the drum kit but she has been having her ongoing hip problems so we switched to the piano lessons. When Esther started playing the drum kit, she couldn’t coordinate with her hands and feet at the same time, which would be quite normal for all beginners for the drum kit. She overcame this and in the end she was truly a rock star!
It’s admirable that Esther brings different challenging pieces and her favorite selections to her piano lessons. Despite her busy schedule and limited practice time, she demonstrates dedication and continuously improves. Her commitment to taking care of her family and church community alongside her pursuit of music is truly inspiring.
At 74 years old, Esther’s youthful spirit and enthusiasm for learning is a testament to her character. It’s wonderful that she serves as a role model for me, and I aspire to be like her when I reach her age. Maintaining motivation and a thirst for knowledge throughout life is a valuable quality, and Esther exemplifies that beautifully.
It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to teach and learn from someone like Esther. Cherish the moments you spend together and continue to support and encourage her musical journey.
